Assistant Operations Manager - Denver

We are launching a new Northern CO based office and are building long-term operational leadership to support sustained growth in Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming. This role is intentionally structured as a leadership transition and development position, with a 6-month shadowing period followed by full regional operational ownership, including P&L responsibility within the first year. The successful candidate will initially work alongside a senior Operations Manager during a large, complex project and then transition into autonomous regional leadership. This role is particularly well-suited for former or transitioning military leaders, especially those with engineering, construction, or infrastructure experience. This role is ideal for someone who: • Is comfortable getting their hands dirty and working alongside field crews • Has led teams in construction, industrial, or military engineering environments • Has prior military experience in a leadership role (E-6 to O-3), especially with military construction, MEP, or project management • Is mechanically inclined and comfortable operating on active job sites • Thrives in high-accountability, mission-driven organizations • Is capable of learning and owning business financial performance • Wants a clear path to autonomous regional leadership Prior mechanical insulation experience and prior P&L ownership are not required. Key Responsibilities Phase 1: Shadow & Learn (First ~6 Months) • Shadow a Senior Operations Manager during execution of a large-scale project • Learn labor management, scheduling, logistics, and job costing • Participate in field oversight, safety enforcement, and quality control • Coordinate crews, materials, and subcontractors • Support customer communication and project reporting Phase 2: Regional Operations Ownership • Lead all day-to-day operations for the Northern CO / Cheyenne market • Manage multiple concurrent projects and field teams • Serve as primary operational point of contact for customers and partners • Maintain schedules, budgets, productivity, and profitability • Own safety culture and execution standards • Learn and assume regional P&L responsibility • Provide forecasting and operational reporting to senior leadership Required Qualifications • 5+ years of leadership experience in: -Construction, industrial services, or engineering environments, or -Military operational leadership roles (engineering preferred) • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort on active job sites • Proven ability to lead teams and enforce standards • Organized, decisive, and comfortable operating independently • Willingness to learn job costing, margins, forecasting, and operational KPIs What We Offer • Defined path to regional leadership and P&L ownership • High autonomy and decision-making authority • Direct mentorship from senior operations leadership • Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives • Long-term growth opportunity in a stable, expanding organization Work Expectations • Based in Northern Denver, supporting Northern CO and Cheyenne • On-site 5 days/week (jobsites, customers, office/project work) • Not a remote role

Commercial Insulator – Denver

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Insulator to join our team in Denver. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing insulation on piping, ductwork, and equipment in commercial settings, ensuring optimal thermal performance and energy efficiency. Responsibilities: • Install various types of insulation materials on HVAC systems, plumbing pipes, and other mechanical systems. • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine insulation requirements. • Ensure all installations meet industry standards and safety regulations. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time. • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a commercial insulator or similar role. • Familiarity with different insulation materials and their applications. • Ability to work in various environmental conditions. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Valid driver's license and ability to get to and from job sites.

Commercial Insulator Foreman – Denver

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Insulator Foreman to lead our insulation team in Denver. The successful candidate will oversee insulation projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities: • Supervise and coordinate the activities of insulation workers on-site. • Review project plans and blueprints to provide guidance to the team. • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies. • Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise. • Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance. Qualifications: • Extensive experience in commercial insulation, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role. • Strong leadership and organizational skills. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents. • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure. • Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. • Valid driver's license and ability to get to and from job sites.

Commercial Insulator Supervisory Foreman/Manager – Denver

EMS is seeking a dedicated Commercial Insulator Supervisory Foreman/Manager to oversee multiple insulation projects in the Denver area. This role involves managing project timelines, budgets, and teams to ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities: • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all aspects of insulation projects. • Develop project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines. • Manage project budgets and resources effectively. • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with specifications. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial insulation, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. • Strong project management and leadership abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in project management software and tools. • In-depth knowledge of insulation materials, methods, and safety standards. • Valid driver's license and ability to get to and from job sites.

Estimator – Denver

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our Denver team. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial insulation projects. Responsibilities: • Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to understand scope and requirements. • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment. • Collaborate with project managers and clients to discuss and clarify project details. • Maintain a database of historical costs and pricing information. • Assist in developing bid proposals and participate in bid negotiations. Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience in commercial insulation or a 5+ years of experience in commercial insulation and a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred. • Proven experience (at least 1 year) as an estimator in the construction or insulation industry. • Strong analytical and mathematical skills. • Proficiency in estimating software (MIKE-Mechanical Insulation Key Estimator Software preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
